Creative Crafts

“Skillway offers more than just trade skills: it gives students a chance to be creative and experience crafts that are not available in schools.”

Creative Crafts

At Skillway, we offer a wide range of different creative art disciplines in our craft studio including glass work, jewellery making, moulding, printing, modroc, weaving and decorative wirework to name a few. Within these disciplines, students are provided with the opportunity to use different materials and learn how to manipulate them to bring their imagination to life.

The Creative Craft Studio is a bright, airy space that comfortably allows a group of up to four students to work on their individual projects whilst receiving support from the tutors when required. Our Creative Craft tutors bring their own passion for creativity and personal expression and instil this in students through carefully guiding and encouraging their imagination and skill.

The Creative Craft sessions are unlike the subject of Art taught in a school classroom: the projects use materials and equipment not typically found within the Art curriculum, such as our small kiln for fired glass work. As with all of our projects at Skillway, once finished, they are taken home with pride by the student and become part of their portfolio of work certified by the AQA unit accrediatation.

Skillway works with Schools,  Colleges and Home Tutored groups to provide
