Certification and Accreditation

Skillway offers some students the option of taking a BTec Level 1 Award in Construction and has a 100% pass rate.

Skillway is also registered to provide the AQA Unit Award Scheme, which offers a multitude of units applicable to the trades 

 and crafts taught. Basic Health and Safety applicable to all the trades is offered, and other units can be provided according to the needs of the particular student.

Skillway  offers our own certification which is the result of the daily log completed at the end of each student’s working day. The student log, our certificate and the projects made by the student can be shown as reference material when applying for entry to Colleges, for Apprenticeships, work experience, or employment.

 

Staff Training and Certification

The staff and volunteers also undertake regular training.  The General Manager has the relevant training and certification in Safeguarding.
